iTrader: (0) Rep Power: 5 (11) | Al Crashed at WSIR on Sunday during one of his races, in turn 5. I don't know the exacts so I won't comment on how he crashed or his condition. I just want to wish my friend and team mate a speedy recovery! I call Al my team mate because we started racing at the same time, and there was a group of us that started pitting together, everyone helped each other just like a team does. Jay

iTrader: (0) Rep Power: 5 (11) | Ummm I'm not sure if he walk away... I called another one of our team mates/Friends(Poncho Spain) He helped Al load up his bike and gear. Al was check out and cleaned up by the Medics at the track, but He refused the ambulance ride to AV hospital. He was in a lot of pain, but he made it home so he could go to his local hospital and would have no problem using his insurance. He's going to have a couple surgerys, this is the part I'm not sure of... as the locations he was hurt leg/ankle & wrist/arm?????? There were no compound fractures. That's all I know as of last night talking to Poncho...

iTrader: (0) Rep Power: 2 (24) | Jay, sorry to hear about your teammate. Best wishes for a speedy recovery. <threadjack> It's funny sometimes, how small a world it is... Myself and a few friends shared our garage with Pancho on the July 6th Ti2tt day at WSIR. We knew he was out practicing and raced in the WSIR series, but he didn't really mention the team name (or at least that I recall) while we were in the garage. Dood was fast, that I know. I went out my last session of the day and was apprantly holding him off (more like, up)...heh. I think he was being much more considerate to my ego than he indicated. I don't know if we took any pit/garage pictures that day, I'll have to go and look.... Nice guy though. Say hi for me next time you see him. I had the RC51/KTM in the garage. |
