Default 2008 Tekinic Violator VR-IIr

I went ahead and ditched the Alpinestars Vector and bought a 2008 Teknic Violator VR-IIr. The suit is much better quality (in my opinion) than the Vector. For one THERE IS NO STRUCTURAL DIFFERENCE between my suit and the ones that the pro's wear in the AMA. It features Knox armor and a FUNCTIONAL airflow hump unlike the Vector. It also comes with the sliders, Speedstar ones at that. I paid $689.99 (899.99 reg) for my suit as where I would have had to pay over $1700+ for any comparable suit. The elbow and forearm guards are amazing!!!! I slammed and I mean slammed my arm onto a sharp corner of a doorway to test them and I felt absolutely NO PAIN!!!! If you want one you MUST BUY 1 SIZE BIGGER!!!! I normaly wear a 46 but in Teknic I needed a 48. I am 5',11" 218lbs. I have also purchased the Speedstar kangaroo boots which are similar to the A* Supertech R boots. They have 4-WAY ANKLE protection to keep you from rolling your ankle more than it's natural motion and an outstanding heel protector. It is really 2 boots in one. There is an inner carbon fiber skiboot type assembly and the outer in a kanga skin bootie with a large schin protector and adj. toe sliders. Additionally I purchased the Speedstar glove which is phenominal and have kevlar and metal knuckle, finger joint and schafoid protection (meaty part below your thumb) as well as wrist on both sides. I wanted the Held Phantoms but I was on a budget. Thats the outer stuff. For inner protection I got myself a Bohn ProRacer coolair back and chest protector. I will however have to break in my suit a little more before it will fit comfortably, LOL. They both have raised carbon fiber pads that protect the tail bone middle back and upper as well as the scapulars(shoulder blades). For my lower body I got a pair of Bohn armored adventure shorts. Why did I get all that other stuff? Because I am a sissy and hate pain, LOL. Anyway if you want a better explanation there are videos showing you what I have just told to a much higher degree at www.sportbiketrackgear.com. Oh and I am by no means knocking anyone with A* suits or other gear.

Dayum!

I can tell you that it WILL hold up skating 50mph across the pavement. I have the Teknic Chicane 1 piece (Paid like $400 for it), and It didn't cause much damage to the leather/seams. I will buy teknic from now on due to fit, and the testing that I did..

Yeah it WILL hold up. I just crash tested it last Sunday. Phenominal suit. The leather wasn't even scuffed. I was wearing that suit plus the Speedstar boots and gloves along with Bohn armoured shorts. All I had was a sore back for a couple of days and that is it.
