iTrader: (0) Rep Power: 6 (56) | Ah, yes, I am blinded by love and think this bike is perfect, but alas before I spend my money I also want to make sure I've researched properly. Here's the deal, the 2005 was reconfigured and looks nothing like its predecessors. Do any of you know of someone who owns one? Have any of you read any write-ups on it? I know on my newbie post someone said it was a good choice, but were they thinking about the older model? Please if you've got any information on this bike, help this girl out and share. :help |

| Newbie | The 05 is the ZX6R from a couple years back. I've heard great things about their comfort and sportbike qualities. Supposed to be very comfortable for a bike that's still capable of doing serious speed and lap times. The 04 ZZR600 is the old ZX6e that came out originally in 93 as Kawi's 600 supersport. My wife has one and it's a very good bike but NOWHERE near the sport qualities of the 05. Great bike and I enjoy riding it but the suspension is VERY soft so I wouldn't take it to the canyon. With my wife weighing 75 lbs less than me it's pretty good for her but my fat ass has it wallowing a lot. 05 should be a great bike with loads of potential to grow into. :thumbup |

| Canyon Carver | Yeah I think Busido is right, its the old ZX-6R their racebike from 2000-2002 I believe. Pretty good bike from what I hear for the dollar. They need a little work if you want to get hardcore but for an average rider its a great all around bike. Very comfy, gets good gas mileage, and can carve canyons and do trackdays no problemo. You could probably find one way cheaper and still be called a ZX-6R for alot cheaper with hardly any miles on it rather then buying new. Shop around see if you can find one, infact I think I saw one up for sale here.

iTrader: (0) Rep Power: 6 (56) | So then if the ZX6R is the same as the ZZR600, would that mean that the seat height, etc. be the same? I ask because I've had a hell of a time finding a bike where I can actually touch, reach the handlebars, be pretty light and not over 600 cc's. |
