I feel like its getting out of control!

O.K. I dont want to start trouble but this morning I saw a post on "the other board" from a guy who has started taking photos on Pally. Not Kent, we all know Kent, this is a new guy. I have nothing against this guy or taking photos of riders but we all know tension is high right now with the locals at Palomar and I dont think a guy all set up with his truck and everything shooting photos of guys on the weekend is gonna help. I was reading the replies to his post and alot of the screen names I didnt recognize, granted Im a lurker and really only get into "for sale" and "track days", but I think there are alot of folks hungry for photos of themselves riding (hey I love photos of myself dont get me wrong) but it will increase the amount of riders up there and from what I hear the day he was there there was more than one crash. I dont know what I can do? I dont want to lose one of my favorite roads but other than stay away I dont know what I can do to help. :dunno :dunno :dunno

Locals who are already pissed off driving to and from their home and then they see some kind of a crazy sportbike racing circus.

Dont get me wrong Ive boought plenty of pics from Kent I just dont want to ruin this road for us. If your a surfer you may be familiar with Holister Ranch, a beautiful spot that was ruined for surfers do to the local residents getting upset by the amount of traffic going through their land.

I'd say just don't go up there on Weekends if you can help it. Too many people makes for a dangerous situation. Mistakes can end up being a lot worse as well. I don't know where this new phtog came from, but he's just another guy trying to make $ off of something someone else thought up IMHO. I'm sure he'll go away soon.

The photographers have as much right to be on that mountain as the riders do. If the county implemented an "Adventure Pass" like ACH, then the photographers would have to buy one to park every day but other than that there's not much that the locals can do about bikes and photographers (maybe lower the speed limit and have more bikes impounded for high speed violations?). Only two things I can see that "AdamSoCal" did wrong: brought his dog (keep him couped up in the truck, or risk getting him hit), and not posting over here!

Ive got nothing against the guy I just think his timing could not have been any worse. What if they put in a bunch of speed bumps or stop signs? I dont want to lose this road, I was up there on a wednesday last week and saw two cops, on a wednesday!

Agreed I'm still a fan of Kent and will always patronize at PalomarPics.net cause at this point the product is superior. No offence to adam (assuming name based on login) but he's not as good nor as experienced as Kent is and that gives him (Kent) an advantage. Personally there are 2 main things that come from competition.

We find out the product or service we were gettng is either Superior which I think PalomarPics.net 's are or we find out we've been paying to much for the product or service. Either way Kent has this guy beat so I'm not that worried for Kent.

On the comment that "he's making money off another person's idea" is that not the same thing that is being done by SBW and Ti2TT? I mean lets get real this board was spun off another's board and the idea of track days I think was already in use long before Ti2TT. So I think SPEED was off on his basis of his argument in that he's guilty of more of what this guy doing.
