Default Fluid or Cable - Clutch?

My Busa has a Hydrolic clutch line the new gsxr has a cable. First question is what do you all prefer? Second question for anyone that has made the transistion is there anything to expect. Keeping in mind I rode the Katana for 60k miles with cable clutch.

Got cables on my 400's and hyraulic on my 750 not much difference in feel...I think all yammies have a short throw clutch but I seem to fare better with the cables and it is easier to change out a cable than bleed a hydraulic system :notooth

Once I got used to the hydraulic clutch on my TL, it really doesn't bother me. One nice thing is I don't have to adjust it like a cable, but a cable you don't cable you don't have to bleed. I know a lot of guys that put a TLS cable clutch on the TLR to have a cable clutch. Was thinking about doing it, but I have grown to like the hydraulic clutch.

the only issue I disliked on my Busa seemed to dirty up the fluid very quickly. Much faster then the break fluid. Have you noticed that?

Cable, more simple, slightly less weight, of course bleeding, can play with the adjustment if you have a preferance on how you want it to feel(pick up point), cable can rust, fray and/or break.

Hydro, self adjusting, master or slave cylinder can fail with age. Have to bleed(but easy to do), slightly more weight (not enough to realy matter on a street bike imo)

As long everything thing works, it doesn't really matter to me.

I prefer cable type as the fluid type has unnecessary complexity. When a cable fails, it can be fixed (sometimes) on the roadside. When a hyd system fails, you're screwed. Unless of course, it fails in the driveway of a shop/garage. What are those odds? Let's see, what's the lotto up to now? :headscratch

I actually like the hydraulic clutch better. My cruiser has a hydraulic clutch and I can hold the clutch lever in all day so no need to shift to neutral to give
my hand a break while sitting at stops. So for street riding I would definitely prefer hydraulic to cable but at the track I would imagine a cable has a few advantages such as weight, simplicity, adjustability, etc.

I've had 2 7rs with hydro clutches and many other bikes with the cable. While the hydraulic is smoother, the cable seemed to work faster and a tad easlier. I'll pick cable.
