iTrader: (5) Rep Power: 15 (42) | Called up animal (Steve) with Grip-N-Balance prior to heading down to San Diego Area for Kevin's birthday party & Indoor Kart Racing to see about dropping by with the Suzuki SV650 I was delivering to Chip for his friend Photoguy. The Suzuki SV650 had been sitting a bit and it was running a bit rough so I fugured it could use a carburator cleaning. Steve promptly handed the phone over to Burst (Greg - The best friend a Suzuki SV650 could ever have) and he said "No problem at all, bring it over." When I aririved I was handed a beer shortly after stepping out of my Ford F-150 Super Crew Lariat 4x4 & they helped me get the Suzuki SV650 out of the bed. I could tell when Burst just dove right in that the Suzuki SV650 was going to be handled in the correct fashion it so rightly deserved. Burst asked me how much time I had to waste and offered to put larger jets in the carburators of the Suzuki SV650 because he noticed that a K&N air filter had been installed prior. I told him that I trusted him completely and that I had all the time in the world. After pulling the carburators out of the Suzuki SV650, Burst pulled out the jets & showed me one that was completely clogged, then another one that was about half way clogged. Burst looked to be having the best time while working on another Suzuki SV650.... I say this because I had to keep wiping the drool off of it often. After cleaning the carburators and installing new larger jets it was time to re-install the carburators into the Suzuki SV650 and see how she would run. I couldn't believe how quickly she fired right up! The Suzuki SV650 was purring like a kitten & we all jumped for joy! Burst is a Suzuki SV650 Pro in my book! We chatted late into the next morning as we all drank and sang praises about how awesome this particular Suzuki SV650 was. I thought this Suzuki SV650 had quite a lot of miles on it at 41,000 until Burst and animal told me that Burst's Suzuki SV650 had about 130,000 miles on it. Wow! The Suzuki SV650 sure can go a long way! animal offered to let me stay in his spare room and I happily accepted animal's generosity. Burst, animal, and I all watched a video that Shaggy made of animal riding the tracks of Pahrump and Buttonwillow Raceways. Burst then left only to show up the next morning with Vitamin drinks for all of us. Sortly thereafter animal and his lovely wife Dori left to go watch Super Bowl XLI with relatives. Burst and I got some Pizza and Pepsi Cola, then loaded up the Suzuki SV650 into the bed of my Ford F-150 Super Crew Lariat 4x4 and off I went. The guys at Grip-N-Balance have many talents. Although this story isn't about tires or tire changing, Grip-N-Balance is the best place in San Diego to go for tire changing service especially if you have high dollar wheels that you don't want ruined. Thanks a bunch to animal and Burst for once again being the best at what they do! *Photoguy, I had a hard time getting your Suzuki SV650 away from animal & Burst. I can't wait to see the grin on your face when you get on it for the first time. Please have someone there with a camera! Congratulations again on your new Suzuki SV650! | Photoguy, you are getting a great bike, Congrat's! It's not that often I stay up that late/early for a "pre-owned" motorcycle. Speed, all the beagles say that you smelled ok to them, and you can stay over anytime you like |
