| Track Junkie | So your bike never leaves your property? I always park where I can see my bike or near a high pedestrian traffic area, not in the way but near a bike rack or on the side walk out of the way of fire lanes (every situation is different). Now If some rent a cop comes up and tells me to move I ask them if they can guarantee the safety of my bike not only from theft but from some one backing into it? Well when they say no I tell them, then no not going to move it. If they threaten to tow I tell them they better know the laws about where vehicles can and can't be towed from and for what or it will cost them their job. If they get belligerent because I'm not cowering to their paper badge I take my business elsewhere. I've seen first hand where security was "on duty" and no less than three bikes where stolen out of the lot in under 1 hour and 45 minutes. On this occasion when the guard came up after the fact and asked if he should call the police (which we already had). I told him to leave before I punch him in the face, the same guard that wouldn't let us park in a more secure area. Luckily my bike was not targeted. But I've had a bike backed into no less than 3 times.

iTrader: (0) Rep Power: 0 (11) | I hope so too. I've got AAA. I hear they're pretty good, but the lady said they use a independant company to determine the value and not kbb. Sounds scarey to me. |
