iTrader: (0) Rep Power: 2 (25) | Great link!! Cool the way they looked up the actual legislation. This is an awesome news source, they even dug as far as to see how the companies would correspond........right on Newspaper.com! Alex, I'm with you on the nightime raids, paint ball guns work great for those hard to reach cameras. What would be totally cool is to move the cameras to areas where the MCRA A$$HOLES who approved them live / commute.

iTrader: (0) Rep Power: 2 (18) | That's how the other half live. Used to deal with those cameras on a daily basis--riding felt like Russian Roulette. These kinds of Gatzos actually promote more illegal activity, since people would start covering up their license plates. My radar detector was useless against these things. Evil part was that about 3/4 of the cameras were dummies, and they would switch the active cameras on a monthly basis, so you'd never know when you were going to get nailed. There's one area with long straights and fast sweepers where riders would often evade the police. I've heard that now they're using drones equipped with speed cameras to nab speeding bikers. It's 2007, but really, it's 1984... |

iTrader: (1) Rep Power: 2 (11) | We have had speed camaras and red light cameras for a long time. We have all mobile photoradar vans (Ford windstars) and 3 GMC Jimmys. They are set up in random locations throughout the city. The story behind this was my buddy was speeding 140 km in a 60km zone, and at the last second noticed the radar van parked on the side of the road. At this point he tried to slow down enough to not break the limit but wound up washing out the front tire. The picture is of him going through at 115 in a 60.... As the bike came to a stop the guy in the radar van zipped up to him and called the cops at the same time. he tried to start the bike but it was carburated and it was flooded. Once the cops showed up they gave him a wreckless driving ticket and were gonna tow his bike... but then the cop asses that this poor buddy of mine already learned his lesson and let him off and let him have his bike. a week later he got his 115-60 ticket in the male ... what a kick in the nuts |
