iTrader: (0) Rep Power: 2 (24) | I have 2 675's, a 2006 as a street bike, and a 2007 as a track bike... Maintenance wise, they are easy to upkeep no issues... on the streetbike, I just took it in a 6000 for a service. It was a few hundred bucks and they changed the oil. My track bike, I just change the oil after every couple of days... It's got 4500 track miles in 1 year... high rpms all the time... no problems. Two main warranty issues have come up on the bikes: (1) Fuel Pump relay recall, replaced relays, and (2) Cam Chain tensioner makes noise between 7000 and 9000 rpm. That gets warranty work. Beyond that, no real issues to speak of. They make great track bikes, as they are real nimble and have pretty good torque considering the displacment. Pretty tight 675 community (Triumph Daytona 675 and Street Triple 675 Forums and Triumph 675 Online Community - Triumph675.net) with a strong So. Cal. contingency. There's about 12 us on that board that get together on a regular basis (some of us several times a month) for track days and 4 or 5 of us form So Cal. racing them. People have a misconception that they break down. Another misconception is that there is a shortage of aftermarket parts... That's not quite true. While there may not be, say 20 rearset manufacturers making stuff for the 675, the main players are all there... and that's cool! That being said, as between the CBR and the 848... I just think the 848 is sweet!

iTrader: (0) Rep Power: 3 (28) | I hereby change my vote to a white 848 (they look so sweet). I have never ridden a Duc and want to ride it, so Mike must get one!

iTrader: (0) Rep Power: 4 (16) | There are things with Japanese bikes we take for granted. Primarily the cost of parts and their availability. Even if the bike is reliable and doesn't need excessive maintenance or repairs (warranty or not) we do crash them from time to time especially on the track. |

iTrader: (0) Rep Power: 3 (28) | Fixed it for ya! I read that someone dumped their Desmosedici. Maybe they're looking to sell it. ![]()

iTrader: (0) Rep Power: 0 (10) | Ima have to say "Honda".. Ive got a friend that spent bundles of $$$ on three different Ducs trying to get them right for racing at willow. And after blowing one up at a Buttonwillow trackday. He picked up an anniversary edition R6 and with only a pipe and brake upgrades, dropped 2 seconds of his best lap times. The 848 is beauty no doubt !! But it would seem to me the Ducs aren't the right match for everybody. And I mean that from both the fit and feel, and the cost and sensibility.. Whatever ya get Mike. I'm looking forward to riding the next SBW trackday with ya.... ![]()

![]() So many decisions. Anyone heard of a super nice FX bike or something like that for sale? I spoke with a friend the other night that picked up one of Pegram's bikes & got a good deal. Hmmmmmm..... ![]() The poll is pretty even at this point, although I don't believe we have heard why some of the members voted the way they did. | ||

| Canyon Carver | Keep tellin ya there is a nice used R1 up here that someone is willing to part with. Yup.... All that POWER just sitting there.... waiting for someone to really use it. Unlike its current user who is just to scared to really ride the bike the way it is meant to be ridden.
