iTrader: (0) Rep Power: 5 (58) | I figured I'll chime in on the Triumph reliability question... My '07 Daytona 675 has 20,000 miles on it and 6 track days. So far the only times the bike has been back to the dealership were for the fuel pump relay recall and for a rear wheel bearing. Triumph has a two year unlimited mileage warranty also, compared to everyone else's one year. As far as scheduled maint goes... it's pretty much the same as most other bikes. They recommend checking the valves at 12k which I did and they were all within spec. ![]()

iTrader: (0) Rep Power: 2 (10) | Man, both the Triumph and the Ducati are amazing sexy biatches I'd take either of them over the new RR. I dont know if they could keep my eye off the new R6 though. I cant wait to see how it stacks up in the 600 showdown this year. |

iTrader: (0) Rep Power: 0 (23) | Didn't read the other responses but... Speed, you know the drill. if you're using this next one for track duty, absolutely go with the Honda. I've read nothing but rave reviews for that thing. It's nothing like even just the last generation RR. If you're looking for a street bike and can REALLY afford it, freakin' A, go with the Duck. I would never take that thing out on the track though. Well, maybe for a few easy trackday laps. Only way I'd buy an exotic bike like that is if I were hanging up the track boots forever and sticking with street-only. |

iTrader: (0) Rep Power: 4 (11) | Mike's Honda Red all the way!!!! For track duty the honda.... But to go for something different for the track I agree, the Triumph 675 is looking really good at the WSMC races! If you want something to show off, the 848 is one sexy bike, but White for me.... HOW I VOTED???? HONDA RED for Mike!!!!

iTrader: (5) Rep Power: 15 (42) | We have a 3-way split at the moment. Wonder what Ducati has for a payment plan? Still waiting on Track Monkey to get back to me on pricing. I agree that the 848 is a great looking bike. I am also looking into a 1098 for a little more power if I should decide to go the pasta route again. Jay knows me very well it seems......must have seen me bleed before, hahaha! |

iTrader: (0) Rep Power: 0 (10) | My vote goes to the Honda. It's fugly but IMHO worth giving up the stellar looks for the function... Haven't ridden it but I hear and read it's amazing. I'll probably look at picking one up in a year or two. I need to break in the new beauty sitting in my garage first...

iTrader: (0) Rep Power: 0 (10) | Mike, Now that I have gotten a taste for the 600 cc bikes, after starting with a BUSA, then moving down to a 1000, I would tend to agree with our MERRY (gay, not there is anything wrong with it) friend Craig, stay on a 600 and humiliate those not worthy in the corners. You might surprise some in the straights as well, if they are a little weak wristed. Good luck with whatever you choose, as you are making the right choice with any of the new bikes, they all are much better than we are as riders. Some we can just hold onto better than other, size of bike that is. By the way, I need a logo for my site. Shoot me an e-mail when you get a chance. The choice will just come down to how many green backs you are going to spend, as the enjoyment will be immense on all the bikes you have to choose from. Talk to you soon. Thanks. | Spammer | let's sit down and have a beer over this.. first of all I would love to be in your position to have to try and decide what bike I would want...... it really boils down to how much money you will have to spend for the upgrades for the duke, because it sounds like you r a competitive guy on and off the track...I have read that the motor upgrades for the duke are like a house note!! the price to pay for skinz, pipes etc..r going to get ya because it is a exotic bike so they are going to charge you cause they can. Now to it up the Honda comes with some new tech and seems to be very cost worthy for maintenance and upgrades...even tho yo pockets deep be wise because you might find holes in em with the duke besides that is a bike you floss on..but on the other hand it would look sexy on the track but to think it might go down how long will I have to wait for repair etc....comes to play my 2cents so![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
