It's actually much harder to find a white one these days, even from a dealer. And the white plastics were only made on the 2007.

That sounds like a good idea, thanks! I am leaning towards the Honda right now as the most practical at this time, but not 100% sure just yet.

Thanks! Did I mention I'm in love???

I have my old fender eliminator from the 1kRR, so I'm going to rig something below the battery tray to hold the plate. We shall see!

That looks very nice. All it needs is an SBW Racing sticker.

If SPEED doesn't set you up let me know. I have a couple at home - my bike isn't deserving and it would be an insult to put on my car.
Hello, Mike?? Mike????

Think I've still got some stickers around the house.

Went to look at the '08 Honda CBR1000RR at Chaparral Motorsports last night. First impression up close was that it's deffinately different looking than anything else on the floor. It feels a lot like the Honda CBR600RR to me, light & comfortable. Looks like 4 bolts under the rear tray and the mudflap & signals are off. It does look like it would be prudent to have an aftermarket under-tray to bolt back up to keep all the debris out however. It's nice to get a little bit of trunk space back since they relocated the exhaust. Sure miss that huge trunk on my old 2001 CBR929.

Looking at it next to all the other bikes shows just how much better it looks than the others, the tail especially. The Yamaha tail looks like a huge wing compared to the Honda. I like the fact that Honda put their HESD under the tank cover just like the 600RR's.... sure cleans it up a lot.

As far as color goes, I really like the Red/Black, but the Yellow/Black was starting to grow on me for some odd reason, but it definately would look better with the wing IMHO.

Not sure I would do away with the exhaust since I prefer a quiet ride these days, but if the weight savings amount to 20lbs or so it's much easier than going on a diet myself, hahha!!

Wonder if I should still go look at the Ducati 848.........?

One word Mike. Ducati. Do it. Ridden the 848. Incredible bike, if your looking for power though you want the 1098. The 848 has power but just doesn't have the torque. But it will turn and stop on a dime.

But then again I didn't sell my 999 to get it, so it didn't leave THAT great an impression but you must take into account I own a duc already. And I LOVE my duc!

The 848's forks blow. The springs are 1.0 and there is not enough compression damping. You will defintly be using all the forks. Mike your a big guy you need torque. I say get the 1000RR or the 10R. Damn that little thing is so powerful!
