iTrader: (0) Rep Power: 1 (10) | Okay guys,...I finally did it! I crashed my poor baby into the mountain. Now I am loooking at new bikes. Just vote or leave suggestions. I really want a 1000 now because my 600 just doesn't do it for me anymore. I mean it's fun to ride but the power just ain't there.

iTrader: (5) Rep Power: 15 (42) | I voted for not ready for a litre bike. My suggestion is to pick up a new Kawasaki EX250 & learn to ride that to it's full potential, then move back up to a 600. |

iTrader: (1) Rep Power: 5 (62) | I gotta say man, stay small. That R6 has TONS of power. Get a 600 on the track, and you'll realize just how much of that bike you weren't using before. |

ROFL!!! A buddy at work today mentioned I should consider the GSX-R750. I was thinking about it and thought maybe that would be the best of both worlds. I'll still have a light bike with a little more power. But, LOL I don't want the "Standard Navy Issue" bike, LOL. However that seems to be the best option now.

iTrader: (0) Rep Power: 4 (16) | 1. Like those numbers matter on the street 2. Like someone is going to use it unmodified for racing In general and that's my 100% private opinion a liter bike is not the best choice for a track bike if you're a cautious intermediate rider and generally enjoy cornering more than doing wheelies on the front straight. As far as the street use it absolutely doesn't matter because you're not going to reach the bike's full potential: neither 1000, not 600. And if you are, then it's even better - the others will benefit buying parts from your totaled bike (sorry, I understand the context, but sometimes the truth is harsh). So I don't know why you listed liter bikes only, but in my case it were just looks. I craved the R1 so badly. It's actually easier to ride on the street (in the midrange) than my previous bike 600RR - mostly because it's lighter and more flickable, but there's almost no difference - I'm talking about the street. So performance doesn't matter at all. Smoothness does and of course the weight (to some degree). Actually I'd intentionally pick the weakest bike cause that's safer for the street. But then again all those numbers and lap times are negligible during conservative midrange street numbers or even canyon runs. |

Honestly, I feel like I need more power and when I sat on the 1000's they felt so much more comfortable for me. I had read the CBR1000 RR has the best ergonomics.
