I LOVE my Scropion ExO 400. Its the best deal in gear today. The 1000 is kind of cheezy in person. The flip down visor is hardly tinted enough to do anything! Those Shoei's are nice if you can afford one.

I heart my scorpion. I like the 1000 for the flip down visor. It adds a nice hint.

Well the Exo does actually. The ICON fits too but not as snug as the Exo. The Shoei fits the same as the ICON.

FYI The Scorpions always start out tighter than most helmets and loosen way up after they break in.

Most of my friends who got ICONs have had mediocre things to say about them, and I've never been all that impressed with their fit and finish.

I've heard nothing but good things about the scorpions, and would have bought one if I hadn't stumbled into such a good deal on my arai.

Shoei is on par with all the top helmet MFRs. They dont really fit me all that well though. The fit is comfortable, and correct, but just doesn't feel right to me. That's a personal sizing thing though.

If given a choice between the 3, I'd probably go for the scorpion IF it fit better than the shoei. Since I haven't tried one on I cant say for sure. The ICON would be at the bottom of my list though.

I realy like my EXO700, I bought the chin spoiler and it greatly improved the draft of the helmet. I use the extra dark smoke lense and it works great. I also agree that you need to try on a bunch, I also found a shop that let me test run them around the block before I purchased.

I run the EXO-700 and find it to be a better fit than either of the Arai RX-7 Corsairs I had. Quieter too.. I wouldn't bother with the EXO-1000 honestly. You lose a fair amount of upward visibility due to the flip down shield. If you just ride street that's not a big deal, but for racing it's huge.
