Overall, I think it looks good, but doesn't show enough details for me. I have lots of "why?" questions. Glad to see you posting Isaac. Where are you?? (I forget)

iTrader: (0) Rep Power: 6 (16) | Get rid of that prehistoric side canister. KTM has got it right. And also it has the right amount of creases. Though don't forget, those creases date back to 2004. Other than Chris Bangle's obsession with creases, that trend is dying IMO. Anyway, the sculpted tank looks good, by the sides are better be simple and smooth - take a look at the Desmo. Styling-wise I think the most "futuristic" (means modern) look started to blend "New Edge" (creases ad angles) with rounded organic "Biostyle" of mid-nineties. Example: VW Up! It still has angles, but they're softer. I think a bike with those lines would look great. Back to the exhaust. I wonder why it's so difficult for the rest of the sportbike manufacturers (Buell isn't exactly a race-replica sportbike). Why standard Kawi 650 has it and their superbike ZX can't? I can sorta understand why Suzuki moved away from the underbelly exhaust design: zero squid appeal and bikenight bragging rights about the "baddest" can. |

iTrader: (0) Rep Power: 3 (10) | Ha, LOL...I used to have a flush can. So softer angles eh. i'll give that a try. It's just once I made the tank I wanted all the design cue's to match. I need to make new wheels too. Since the ones I have now are too Hi-Poly and lock my machine up, LOL. I'll put my old can back on it. Thanks Bad Mofo; that was very constructive. ![]()

iTrader: (0) Rep Power: 6 (16) | What I meant basically more flat surfaces with squarish or multiangular openings. More plastic on the sides. Sorta a modern take on the 749/999 shape. The triangular shapes of Japanese bikes start to look dated and while their idea of layered fairings and more holes probably improves the engine cooling (like it matters at 100+ mph on the track), it looks horrible, especially the new Hondas. |
