Noticed that a couple of you guys are running Diablo Corsa III's.

Not to scare any of ya'll, but when I as @ Pahrump a few weeks back.....a rider went down on Corsa III's. The control rider said that those tires are street tires and weren't meant to be ridden that hard on the track.

Just what I heard, don't know how valid his claims were.

Thanks, Slowpoke. Noted for sure. I have heard the opposite about the tire. I ride them knee down all over the canyons without a hint of give... yet.

Due to triple digit ambient and track temps, I may switch to medium compound 209s or alike...

Tires are my biggest source of head trash... run the best, I reckon. ****, dude, you're much appreciated headsup is causing my darkside to write another check for tires. Good thing 209s are on sale right now...

BTW, your "Slowpoke" forum handle fools no one. It is a poorly disguised ploy to hide your, do doubt, skillful track acumen. I know because my TrackdayGuru is nothing more than smoke and mirrors... I'm a kook on a bike...

As a control rider/instructor, I know plenty of fast guys on Diablo Corsas /CorsaIII

Maybe if your not smooth you might have troubles... as for myself I've haven't had a problem with them...

As Pirelli advertizes them as a Track/Street tire... that's just what they are... they are no race tire though...

LOL. No smoke and mirrors here Guru. I REALLY am slow. Hence the NOVICE group for me. I might pass a guy here or there, but I'm dust if I get bumped into Intermediate group.

Wahooooooooooooooooooo!

With the Pilot Power 2CT recall I am in a tire crisis here...

I have a recalled front tire on the 954 and dont want to run it now, but cant really afford new ones.

I think I will talk to the wife about buying a set of takeoffs.

Excited...yes.

A little stressed...yes.
