If you mean for the race weekend then no. I'll be snowboarding up north that weekend. My next track day at Willow Springs is on the 29th w/SBR.

I would love to do the race thing but I simply can't afford it, well unless I wanted to sell my house and divorce my wife and pawn off my first born.

I think you'd be surprised at the fact that trackdays and racing costs are pretty similar. Initial cost of your license and a transponder are the up front big costs you incur, but after that, it's similar.

Track day cost $180-$250 for the day

Race weekend: Sat practice: $70 - One race $70 with 2 practice sessions = $140 add another race for $50 - total = $190

All other incidentals would be the same. So why aren't ya racing?

I may try it later this year - maybe 1/2 a season just to see how it works. We'll see.
