Default Hayabusa Crash from another forum

Squid was racing at 120, collided with the rear end of a car and was lifelined out. Looks like he survived because of his helmet, but was rashed really bad. Pictures aren't too gruesome, just some deep rash.

There was a very bad motorcycle wreck last week in Deer Park on X St. My mother witnessed the accident and said that two bikes, both Hayabusa's, passed her while she was out for her morning walk going about 120 MPH.

A car turned in front of one of the bikes and the bike struck the rear quarter panel of the car and the rider flew about 50 yards after impact. The rider is in the hospital in pretty bad shape after being taken by Lifeflight. Unfortunately he has no medical insurance. The other rider was arrested and charged with racing and both guys were issued a fine of $5,000.

Warning: Some of the pictures are very graphic.

Just wanted to remind everyone to ride safe. I know fast bikes are cool, but take one look at this guy and you'll realize that loosing that much skin (or your life) isn't a cool deal...

WOW! Look at what happened to the cage!!! :yikes Just think how much better he would be if he was wearing full protective gear...no to mention going a lot slower around that area.

Yeah, leathers would have saved him at least the deep part of the rash (see his elbow in that one pic? through the bone!). From the look of the pictures, it backed out of a driveway and the bike went under the trunk, lifted the car when it hit the differential and sent it spinning into that stop sign. What got me is that the rim was cracked into several peices and rims aren't usually brittle. I've seen mashed rims, never shattered.

At least it looks like the poor punk survived.

EEK! I hate to look at gruesome pics like that, but did take a peek at a few of the more distant ones, lol.

Don't wanna say anything bad about a downed rider. T shirt, shorts, residential are, and 120 mph on a 180hp super bike don't mix well. Hopefully His friend will learn something about safety after this. This is a black eye on the sport bike comunity.

Yeah...if he'd not had any chicken strips on the tire, I'd have felt sorry for him. :rolleyes
