We saw your van on our way home, I was going to pull over and make sure allw as ok (even though I didn't formally meet you at the track I know you were there because well you had bikes on a trailer) but we didn't notice the van till after we passed it. I am with the others, I can't send much but I can send some. All property can be replaced, atleast you guys and your dogs made it out. Best of luck in the recovery and dealing with the insurance companies.

Good to know that you're ok. and you got your most precious out of the van.

for you to get back on your feet: so u can visit sportbikeswest.com

If you need a computer... I got one for you....though its not a notebook..its a dell computer(fairly new) with a 17 inch sony monitor(fairly used) that you can have. I also have a fairly new helmet that I dont use. Its a med size helmet. If you can wear it you can have it. Its one of those icon collection that i kept because of the graphic. I can't even wear it, its too small. Let me know...i can get them to you next week...like on monday. I work in oceanside.

I thought I would post up another update since it has been just about 3.5 months since the fire and Chris's accident.

All of our insurance claims have been filed and settled. We have replaced just about all of our gear (except my leathers, which I will be ordering within a few weeks), largely thanks to Todd at www.calsportbike.com , Brian / Grassy at www.grassyknollproductions.com , and www.motonation.com .

Chris had a doctor's appointment yesterday and was told that he is healed up about 99%, and he is fit for duty, which is REALLY good news!!! :woot He may be leaving in a few days to meet up with the ship which is currently underway, but we are not sure yet.

We are doing really well and are happy, healthy, and very lucky to have those of you that helped us get through the past few months.

Chris & I hope you all have a great Thanksgiving, and want to invite those of you that don't have plans to come to our home for the holiday. Please send me a PM if you can join us & my dad (who also rides!) for the day.

Deb

Well, it has been exactly one year since Chris's accident and the RV Fire. It is strange because sometimes it feels like all the drama happened yesterday, while at other times it feels like 10 years ago.

So one year later we are doing really well. We aren't riding as much as we would like to, but I am hoping that will change as our schedules calm down. Chris is completely healed (even from the bruises I gave him after the shock wore off for wrecking my bike), :hit :laughing we have replaced just about everything that we lost (our personal property claim was over $9000) :yikes and the GSXR is completely fixed. I have told Chris that if we are ever to get a recreational vehicle again, it will be a boat. RV's are dangerous. :laughing

Chris & I are forever in the debt of the sportbike community. Speed, we will NEVER be able to thank you enough for everything you did for us during the lowest point in our lives. You are truly something special. Brendan, you constantly amaze me with how giving and supportive you are. Thank you both for being there for us, and thank you for all you have done for us over the past year. You two are amazing friends and we are blessed to have you in our lives. A special thank you to Kent at www.PalomarPics.net , Todd at www.calsportbike.com , Steve at www.grip-n-balance.com , Aaron and your team at www.ti2tt.com , Brian at www.grassyknollproductions.com , Togo's in Mission Valley, Dawn at www.smoothcurvesracing.com , Henry, Larry, www.motonation.com , and to the hundreds of people, many of whom we don't even personally know, for everything you did for us.

I am anxious to get Chris to another track day to show him that it IS possible to do a track day without getting hurt, and without your vehicle exploding on the way home. :laughing

Thank you to the moon and back to everyone for all your help and support over the past year.

Deb

Wow! A year has gone by.....it does seem long to me as well but my memory of the events that unfolded that day is pretty vivid for an old man lol. I still can't believe you remembered my phone number even during that kind of trauma, just amazing! Glad you two have been able to put it all behind you in such a positive way & I look forward to getting back on the racetrack with you two soon. Hope your day is the best!! :cheers
