He's officially been downgraded.

On the burning Ape's thing...we have plastic tanks...that's probably why.

Default Back home and well...

Meeoch went down at Palomar - Page 12 - ApriliaForum sponsored by AF1 Racing, inc.

From Mitch:

Came home today after 6 days of recovery. My mind is sharp but my body needs healing. Dionne and I want to extend our thanks to everyone out there who helped during the situation, who have extended their well wishes, and who have prayed for my recovery. Our health insurance is limited so we're concerned about those bills coming in. We appreciate everyone's willingness to contribute, but we're not looking for charity. If you seriously want to contribute, we encourage you to look at the products that I distribute, as Dionne and I agree that a healthy body will come out of trauma much better than an unhealthy body. We firmly believe that the nutraceuticals we both take aided in the speedy recovery from the accident. Why put high octane in your bike when you don't put high octane in your body? No cheesy sales pitch - they've changed our lives for the better (you can ask Arnie). We feel so blessed to have this online community that reaches out and cares so much about fellow riders. It truly is a gift to have met a majority of you and as well as those who have never met me but have extended their positive energy. This has certainly taught me that speed is for the track, as I've been treating Palomar like a track for a long time now. Ride safe out there... Dionne would like to write a bit to all of you, so here she is...

Hey, all (Dionne, here). HUGE thanks to the guys at the scene, as I know they acted as paramedics for quite a while. Also big thanks to Beau for relaying my messages and requests for each of you to PLEASE carry ICE info on your person. I agree with one rider who posted that Palomar should not be treated like a track. Mitch is an excellent rider, but you simply never know. Were it not for oncoming traffic, I believe he would have walked away from that accident. Mitch was in an induced coma for about 18 hours. His trauma doctor expected him to wake up on Sunday; it took an extra two days which indicated more serious head trauma than originally thought. I wish I could explain the nightmare of the last week, watching someone you love more than anything not respond for days on end. I was devastated, as was his whole family. I refused to leave his side and sat by his bed holding his hand all night long begging the universe to bring him back to me. There was no need for sleep because action was needed in his room rather often (as blood pressure dropped to 72/34 and temperatures soared to 103.9). I only tell you this because it's important to remember the people that love you all so much and what they would go through if something like this happened to you. Mitch will not fully recover his memory or his eyesight in his right eye for weeks, maybe months, not to mention his extreme body pain and fractures (including a C7 spinal fracture). Again, I thank you for all the support you have given us and the positive energy and prayers you have sent out to the universe. I truly believe that positive thoughts help heal. Please be safe out there and remember those who love you.

Thanks for the update Dawn! That's awesome to read Mitch's own words! I hope he fully recovers very soon, and that we won't see another scene like that at Palomar again.

Awesome!

I don't see helping with some of the bills as charity. When Chris & Deb's RV caught fire a lot of us got together & were able to convince them to let us help, we didn't see that as charity either. Nothing wrong in helping out a friend in need.
