Default 2 wheels in Thailand

Recently I was lucky enough to visit Thailand and well let's just say that motorcycling isssssss... different there. First and foremost I must say that we are truely missing out because there is treasure trove of motorcycle models that are available from the major manufacturers that Americans are just completely missing out on. Some of the Honda models include the CBR 400R, 250R and my personal favorite the 150R. Sadly I don't have pictures of all of them, but I did get a few of the CBR 150 R:

here it is in action

Check out that sexy rear tire.

Color option... and I believe that lovely brute in the background (with the pink stripe) is Suzuki's 150cc offering
Now, for all you ladies who have been wishing that you could wear a skirt while riding, well, you can! Just follow the example below:

(anyone notice that it's the guy who's wearing pink?)
Ok, the next one is for all of you who have had thoughts along the lines of "How many people can you cram into a Volkswagon Beatle"? That bike in the middle has 3 people on it and I greatly depair that I wasn't able to get a picture of any bikes with four people on them, but oh yes they do manage four, even five on one bike. Now usually the formation that makes 4 people possible is (starting from closest to the handle bars) first, baby number 1, followed by Dad who is steering, then baby number 2, (optional baby # 3 goes here to get the 5 person setup) after which comes mom, and last but not least the older kid hanging on to the rear seat grab.

Just in case you were worried about the safety of the 3 children you might have riding with you, you could always pick up a fender sticker like this:

Next up is the stuff that the chopper and entrepreneur crowd will be into. Why put a side car on your motorcycle when you could weld on your own side-cart?

No ride is complete without a garland dangling from the handle bars.
If you're really into modding and want to make some money with your bike why not install a deep fryer and a rack to hold all your dried and salted squids and some pastries too?

All hope is not lost for the Thai people though, I came across a few Italian beauties while I was there:

I'm pretty sure the helmet on this R1 doesn't quite meet DOT or Snell standards. I'm sure it would make a great sand bucket though.

Last but not least, the noble steed that took me around Thailand, the Suzuki 125cc Step:

Babies on bikes huh? I wonder what kind of "bad parent" media rage that would cause here.

Very neat pictures though, I wouldn't mind seein that for myself
