Question RFID tags: Big Brother in small packages

RFID tags: Big Brother in small packages

From what I understand, companies like GE General Mills & others have already began using these chips.

What do you all think about big brother preparing for the ultimate transgretion? Does it make you scared, mad, or do you not really care?

Personally I'm not a fan of traffic cameras & this is going way over the top to invade our personal lives. I believe I should have the option to give them the info they seek via questionares or tell them to get stuffed. Look out world......here comes BIG BROTHER making another charge.

So many words...

Time for bed... I'll read the article tomorrow while I'm supposed to be working. Sounds interesting from the first paragraph at least.

I agree with this. however, I do not agree with big brother invading my personal space. I think that it would be good for convicted criminals and such, but for my private life....F off!

I agree with Darrin as well. It's a tool, that has it's place, but it could also be used in ways that I wouldn't like.

How many of you guys that answered so far have actually read the whole thing? Did you read the part about the chips being imbeded in your clothing, apliances, & food packaging. This system will provide others with a complete account of what you do & where you go 24-7-365. It's "INVASION" of privacy. So much for a free country. I have heard that by 2008 we'll have federal ID cards with a chip that includes all of our personal info (similar to what the service branches use now) in them.
