| Squid | Just happened to read this thread. I guess the topic was dropped but I agree with Earl on this one. No changing the LEOs. Have to change the laws and law makers. Also need a legal outlet for those who want to do some extreme activities on a bike. Track days are good but stunters don't/won't go to them. And I don't blame them. No stunting allowed at the track. And I know of no legal stunting parks for street bikes.

| Track Junkie | There have been stunt shows and event at Irwindale raceway on there drag strip. They can do it on private property with the owners permission. Doing it on the freeway or somewhere like the look out on Mulholland in Malibu is retarded. |

iTrader: (0) Rep Power: 0 (11) | I know its been quite a few years since I have ridden with some of you all here.. A few months ago I met up with a VFRdiscussion.com Flaf ride. The group was mostly 30+ riders. We had a nice ride around the Malibu Rockstore area. We pretty much stayed together as two groups of twelve riders. The group I was in maybe made ten mph over posted speed limit on occasion. It was one of the best rides I have been on. You dont need to push the limits to have fun in my book. Back to the topic. We need to police ourselves as sportbikers. Once the majority of sportbikers stop doing stupid stuff in public areas, I would expect the fuzz to leave us alone. Trying to start relations with CHP or other LEOs to let them know that a few of us are OKish seems like a waste. I hope they dont just group us all as a menace. |
