Biaggi vs. Rossi or Biaggi vs. himself :dunno

I found this to be an interesting read.

After seeing the infamous ?Elbow Rub? on Rossi from Biaggi, I looked up Biaggi and found this.

Also I found the Two Wheel Tuesday Heart rate monitor on the two riders very interesting.

Completely bi-polar is the only way to describe the way many people feel about Max Biaggi.
From fans to riders they are either faithful to the young Italian, buy his replica helmets and leathers to make their devotion known, or hate his guts and burn his figure in effigy. It seems there isn't much middle ground about Max. That's because Max doesn't have much middle ground himself. He's a very emotional, passionate rider, one that will react strongly to any circumstances presented or created by him. Want your laptop computer hurled across the pressroom? Write something derogatory or truthful (depending on your viewpoint) about Max. Thinking about creating a rivalry with him, as a fellow rider? Don't worry, look in Biaggi's direction and he'll think you're starting something. 'Friends, who needs them?' Biaggi seems to say, as those close to him say he is nearly friendless, even outside of the paddock. Like many riders before him, Max needs to create enemies and situations where his talent and deeds are called into question to properly motivate himself. If Max feels that those around him on his own team, or competitors, or even the press, feel he can't accomplish something, then it must be proven to them that he can.
His name in rider circles will bring forth both respect and gales of sniggling laughter. "Friggin' pole-smoker," said one rider before bursting out in laughter when the subject of Max is brought up.

That was an interesting read. I was not real familiar with him throught the 250, 500 era so its was enlightening to me.

That said, it is of course one person's perception of Max Biaggi.

The part of Biaggi that I see, my perception is that Max IS a PASSIONATE person, that is a given. But also I see him for his charitiy work and how he keeps in touch with his fans, me included..he he.

Nonetheless, always good to read about my favorite rider, thanks for posting that Chiru

I?d have to agree with you Ado, on Max being passionate. :thumbup

I found other articles that give a good sense of his personality. After seeing the story on TWT about the huge difference in heart rates, it seems that Max is very passionate about racing. Rossi?s lackadaisical heart rate seems to show that there are definitely two different racers out there.

It?s amazing to me how close the two riders results compare after a days work on the Track.

Yeah, Im curious as to how WE on this board are more similar to Biaggi or Rossi in respects to their approach to riding?

Example:
Rossi - Exudes a more playful approach to racing. Laughs allot, lil gimmicks after winning a race, etc.

Biaggi- A passionate, competitive approach to racing. Very focused. Trains intensely.

Not sure how to dissect it...but I'd like to know what emotions are going through people's heads while on the track or riding through the canyons..
