Pedrosa crashed in free practice, medics mentioned that it is doubtful he will be able to race this weekend. Bummer, I was expecting to see him take the points lead.

Repsol Honda's Spanish rookie opened up a gash in his left knee after flying off his RC211V at the midway point in the second session, and the awkward location of the injury means that the rider's movement is severely limited. A bruised left toe adds to Pedrosas's woes.

Pedrosa will be examined tomorrow morning by the Clinica Mobile team and his chances of racing on Sunday will be assessed. Despite the setback, Pedrosa was able to take second on the first day of practice at the Asian track which had Loris Capirossi on top spot.

Guess the little guy, put a dent in his championship run. But if he manages to race and finish decent anyways he can still come back in the last few races.

Well,,, I saw the race, and Rossi and Caparossi duked it out like crazy, with broke dik Pedrosa in a solid 3rd the whole way :yikes then he couldn't make the podium because the hole in his knee had opened up, whisked off to the doc...guess they gave em some good drugs/painkillers. I'd think that would make you loopy, but goes to show you how good of shape these guys are in, to be effed up like that and still place? wowzers! :clapping

i doubt they used painkillers per se, i'd guess lidocaine or something along those lines.
