Well this is going to be an unpopular post but I thought it was a terrible race, probably the worst of the season. To say that it was anticlimatic is an understatement.

I was so looking forward to this race and what I imagined would be a balls out race with dicing and slicing for positions but no such thing. I'm not saying this because Rossi crashed, I was dissapointed with the Estoril race when Danni took out hayden, after that the race lost a huge part of the excitement.

I'm not even happy for Hayden nor do I think it's a great way to win a championship.

Can Hayden really think "I'm the champ because I'm the BEST out there!"

I would have to say no.

There is always next year.

I'll agree with you that this wasn't the most exciting race of the season as far as fighting for position. It's unfortunate that it had to end with Rossi crashing out, but I don't think it's fair to say that Hayden didn't deserve the championship. He rode his ass off and CONSISTANTLY scored points this year and that's what won him the championship. Is he the same caliber rider as Rossi? Probably not. But he does have serious talent and he rode well during the season and pulled it off and that's all that matters. :thumbup

+1 Very boring race. Either winning was ok...just wanted a great race which we didn't get.

in all fairness I think I was so used to Rossi murdering the entire race field winning a championship that i thought anyone who wanted to be world champ would have to do the same. I think this championship meant more to Nicxky than it did Rossi. if rossi won, it would have been just another trophy in the case. but I nicky won it would be the culmination of all his wildest dreams. to nicky it wasn't about beating rossi It was about winning the the premiere class world championship. at least thats how I percieve it. plus Vale had a very bad season and still managed to clinch second. that says a lot about the level at which these men(and hopefully soon to be women)are racing at.

Ahem, crashing is part of the game and Nicky did lose his points lead due to a crash. And Rossi, he crashed all on his own.

Way to go Hayden! World Camp.

Agreed the race was rather boring once Hayden knew he had it in the bag but he worked hard to get enough points to fill that bag all season.
