iTrader: (0) Rep Power: 2 (10) | Tired of the hassle of trailers? Then buy my Moto-Tote! I have to sell my truck for some much needed college $ so I wont have a vehicle to use this with soon. Its a Moto-Tote Sport Carrier made to fit nice wide sportbike tires and comes with the ramp and optional light kit. Heres the website with more info on a new one: Motorcycles And Dirt Bike Carriers, Scooter Hauler, Motorcycle Carrier Hitch This one was purchased in 2004 and has served me well carrying my R1100s across the country. Its made super thick and heavy duty steel. It has a bit of surface rust (See Pics should clean off with wire brush easy) and the paint is chipping in a few areas but not too major. The tie down arm and hook is a tiny bit bent from someone hitting it in the Vons parking lot but I'm pretty sure it did more damage to their car than the Moto-Tote. I've used it since and it still holds an R1100s just fine. I'm asking $200 OBO + shipping as I need to sell it quickly. I am willing to take it apart and ship but please note ups charges $100 for shipping from 93444 and then whatever a box for costs. I'm in Nipomo, CA. Here are some pics: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Here it is in use! See it can hold an BMW R1100s! ![]() The truck is also for sale if anyone is interested. 88 Dodge Ramcharger. |

iTrader: (0) Rep Power: 4 (16) | Great product and great price! I've always wondered if I can put a touring bike on mine. Now you answered my question. This thing is indestructable and will fit any class III tow hitch receiver: TW 500lbs. Depends what bike you're putting on it of course. The smallest vehicle I've seen it on (with a full-size sportbike) was Xterra (which shares the frame with Frontier). I even tested it for 12 miles with Murano - doable in emergency, but risky, as Murano is rated at 350lbs TW. Make sure to use heavy duty 1000lb ratchet tie-downs... I learned it the hard way.Someone I know (of course not me) went 120mph with that thing - on a private road of course, for testing purposes only, blah, blah, blah. Like to test whether he can outcorner Bimmers... and he did. I suspect my Treg w/ R1 on the Moto-tote still handles better than its scheduled replacement - a pickup I'm getting in the fall. |
