Not a rule at Buttonwillow, but a good idea nonetheless.

Well, first question, I have an Alpine Star TZ-1 Jacket. As you can see in the picture, the zipper goes most of the way around, but not 100% Does this count as good?
If it isn't, can you rent leathers at the track?

Second, are these boots good? I wear 'em when I ride now, they're leather flight boots with a good steel toe.
I guess that was three questions.

The jacket, when zipped into pants, will be fine. Those boots are a no-go.

Quick question about maintenance...

When switching over to water wetter + water, I ran about a gallon and a half of distilled water through the system before filling it up again with a distilled water + water wetter mix. The water still has a green tint to it in the overflow and never got totally clear when flushing it. Should I keep running water through it until it's totally clear? How are they going to check the coolant at the track?

Yeah run water through that bastard till its clear. Also, turn it on and run it a couple of times to cycle the water through before you add the water wetter. there is always some coolant left over somewhere and it is a huge PITA to get it all out.

usually look at the overflow or what not. We have ways

You have to flush it several times to get it clear. Make sure when you are doing the flushing that you run the bike up to operating temp so the thermostat opens up the whole system.
Then make sure you burp the system well.
Check over at 600rr.net maintenance forum, there's a sticky there describing the process.
