What is it?

It's a special 2 day get together for Sportbikes West members from all over that would like to have a great time at the race track at Spring Mountain Motorsports Park in Pahrump Nevada. Just think, many of the people you enjoy spending time with on this board will be at this event and you'll be able to talk about all the good times you've shared through the years all the while you will be making new fond memories that will last a life time.

There is no shame in being the slowest & no special gratification in being the fastest because this event is all about hanging out with friends rather than egos. There's nothing more exilerating than dicing it up on an awesome track with friends.

Will there be any instruction available & how much would it cost me?

As mentioned earlier, there will be plenty extra track coaches availabe as well. There are no extra costs, it's all included in the price!

I don't have a way to haul my motorcycle, would it be possible to hitch a ride with another participant?

Yes, one of the great things about Sportbikes West is that we all love to look out for fellow members. Just post up that you need help getting to the track and we'll help find you a ride.

Is it just like racing?

No, this is definately not just like racing. Our main focus is safety & are looking to have ZERO crashes at this event. We won't be trading paint like often happens in racing, but will have a strict rule on at least a 6 foot buffer zone at all times.

What experience do you guys have running this type of event?

Although this is technically the first Sportbikes West event soley run by us, I have helped organize, promote & run another trackday organization prior. All of the Control Riders for this event are very skilled riders & racers. We also have quite a bit of time as Control Riders prior & a ton of tracktime under our belts. I have hand picked people to be Control Riders for this event that I believe will work hard to help everyone have the best time possible on the track. They can't get enough of helping others to acheive a higher level of skills. They are professional, courtious, friendly, & a blast to be around.

Safety is a concern for me, will there be a bunch of knuckleheads trying to take me out?

No, we don't expect to have anybody at this event riding erratically. We'll be keeping a close eye out for dangerous riding, and will do our best to help indivduals get their riding under control. In the event that a rider decides to continue riding dangerous, they will be ejected from the track & not be issued a refund. They will also NOT be invited to any other Sportbikes West events in the future.

We have secured one of the best corner working crews available & will have 5 stations covered as well as a starter to help us take care of everyone.

What is the weather usually like in Pahrump, Nevada that time of year?

It is usually pretty warm to hot. We are hoping for warm, but it's a good idea to prepare yourself for higher temps by getting a good amount of riding in warmer weather prior to this event.

I keep hearing stories about a couple of guys named Matt & .... should I be concerned?

Well, they usually only stick to themselves, but it is a good idea to keep a close watch on them at all times.

Another thing you want to remember is WATER. It will be toasty. You need to start drinking prior to the track day. Bring some shade too.

Start hydrating at least 3 days before...maybe even a week before.
