Kewl on the fuel info, what about bike prep other than what I listed above? Anyone do any thing else to prep his or her bike? :dunno

Does one need WaterWetter (SP)? Or so the require any safety wire? Or anything like that?

Thanks.

Sorry Scott, I'll look it over and let you know if I come up with anything. I believe on the Ti2TT site it does state Water Wetter is required, but I'll make sure right now for ya :thumbup Most track day orgs require it now a days. No safety wiring is necesssary, but if you ever gt time to do it, it's a great idea. Sometimes things have a way of rattling themselves off while out on the track for prolonged periods of time.

Here we go... http://takeit2thetrack.net/tech.html

"NO ANTIFREEZE! Your bike must contain water or water wetter. Bikes with antifreeze in them will not be allowed on the race track."

For your bike concerning flushing the coolant, I'd either hit up http://fireblades.org, or http://1000RR.net for info.

Kewl Mike, They have the bike info in two different spots on their site. I missed that in the info that I posted.

Do all respectable Bike stores sell the wetter?

Yes, and even Craparral :biglaugh . It's in a regular sized plastic bottle, and is your favorite color "Pink." LOL. When you mix it, it really doesn't take much of the watter wetter in the mix. :thumbup

Please everyone, read our tech page under trackday info. We don't require any safety wiring but we do require water or water wetter. Water wetter is cheap and actually better for your bike. It makes the bike run cooler and God forbidding anyone goes down and busts the coolant, it won't be an iceskating rink on cleaning the track up. We are only requiring this for the sake of everyone else if you go down, if you have water wetter or only water in the bike its a short clean up and doesnt eat up track time! So everyone please think about others on the track its not a major to do for this and takes about 20 min to change it out.
Thanks again and we look forward to meeting everyone in Pahrump! :thumbup

And use distilled water. Regular water has additives thar can cause corrosion inside your engine over time.

so, back to the question at hand - can we get gas at the track or should we just fill up prior to entering the gate?
