| Spammer | I guess my middle name should be lag since it has taken me this long to type up my race report for the last race at Willow!! My apologies for being so tardy... My second race was better than my first even thought I did not place as High as I wanted to. After the 10AM riders meeting I basically had to wait around until 3PM for the race to even begin. I checked the grid sheets to see my position as soon as they were posted and to my surprise, I was listed 19th. Much better than the 42nd position I had in the 1st race. When the time finally came, I was wound up and ready to kick some tail. The earlier grid sheet said I was in race 13 so when race 12 started, I decided it was time to suit up and get ready. When Dave the announcer blaired out first call, I was one of the first on my way to the pregrid area. I noticed a funny thing on my way to pregrid though. I seemed to be the only heavyweight in a sea of 125 2 strokes. Very interesting... A quick peek at the grid sheets again reveiled I was in race 14!!! Either I had way too much crack that morning :wtf or they switched my race. Back to the pits to wait out another. Ok, 14 called now, so I went to pregrid, and hot lap. The bike felt good and I was feeling great for the race. After my quick hot lap, I lined up on the 19 and waited for the flag to drop. When the flag when green, I had a fairly good start. Let me tell you something, 20 people on screaming bikes don't fit into turn one at the same time! I had to brake early to avoid running into people and decided to take a wide outside line. Good thing I practiced up on my weaving skills because out of turn one on the first lap was like rush hour in LA. After getting situated and passing a few, I settled in and started to give it my all. I felt great and was moving up the pack at a steady pace. After what I think was about 3 laps I was guessing my position to be about 10th. At that time my hands started to cramp up making it very difficult to use the brakes and even downshift. On lap 5 I was passed by two guys on buels. talk about feeling slow.... I stayed behind them best I could until the final lap when in turn 3 one of the Buel riders went way wide and I passed him on the inside. I think I finished in about 12th position and was a little bummed to not have finished in the top 10. All in all it was a good race and I learned that I needed to stretch out my new gloves! I believe I could have been in the top 10 if my hands had not cramped up. I'll just have to place in the top 5 next month to make up for it! What the hell, 1st it is.... :moon

| Know It All | Yeah, what's with this tardy stuff. Your hand must of been cramped the last two weeks, eh? Good report. :thumbup Def be top 5 next month. Starting position is everything. Starting 25th in 600SS sucked too. I feel your pain.
