We have a "regular" 1995 Ford Ranger...Really??? Two bikes would fit??
WOO HOO!!!
Mark, if this is the case then you are welcome to go with me if you want to save the gas money. (Assuming we are going on the same days and what-not)...
thanks for the offer. I'll let you know as I know more myself. I have a truck btw. just cash flow is really tight right now. But I have a job interview monday and a settlement coming next month. I guess it;ll depend on if they sell out or not before I get paid.
So I talked to Chris tonight (first phone call since he has been gone WOO HOO!!!) and he strongly suggested I not attempt to put two bikes in the bed of the truck. He said the possiblity of damage is kind of high, as they would be really tight in there... Chances are though that I would be able to find a trailer to borrow from someone...
I will let you know when I know for sure when I am going, and see if you want a ride to avoid gas money....(My Lord the gas prices are ridiculous...) Plus that way I could rope you into helping me get the bike off the truck/trailer hehehe...

Well, when I get paid gas money won't be a prob. But I'll be more then happy to help load and unload your bike if you need a hand.

And if you already have a trailer hitch on your truck you can rent a single bike trailer from u haul. Very easy to roll a bike into. Very low and a long folding tailgate/ramp. Get a Canyon dancer from any bike shop. Cycle gear I know will have them and some tie downs. very easy to do.

That is just what Chris had mentioned we can do. Sounds like a good idea to me...

Something to think about. With a trailer, you need to drive slower, and you use more gas to get there.

So what I am sayin is, if your pants dont have a pecker in them, I would put the bike in the truck, and just ask someone for help when you get there. We are always willing to give a lady a hand... lol

If it is just me going up there, yes, I will use the bed of the truck. If someone needs a lift though, I would be happy to try to get a trailer for the weekend and get whoever up there that needs a ride.

I won't be able to reserve my spot until around the 25th of July. I am hoping spots are still open. I will let you know if I get a spot and am able to go, in which case I would love to carpool. We should be able to find someone who would let us borrow the trailer...
Deb
(I have never done track before either, and hope I am able to prep the bike properly...)

You dont have to do BOTH days if you dont want to.

FYI, the bike prep is not hard at all... If you have a hard time getting it done, come up early on friday, and I will make sure that it gets done for you...
