Ass-kissing time... J/k :biglaugh Gotta thank Mike for his input to my riding. It was no revelation, but rather lesson in humility: to focus on basics like looking through the turn rather than exaterated hang-offs and other squidly stuff.

BW is a very technical and challenging track. I don't think I am quite ready for it, so for the next several months it'll be Streets and Fontana for me. As for the trackday itself it was flawless except for cancelling the last session. Could have given us, beginners, 10 minutes or so. Nobody crashed in beginner group (just went offtrack I believe), passing was easy and being passed wasn't scary. Great experience.

As I said, the track is highly technical: abrupt turns, many of which off-camber and decreasing radius (if this last term is applicable to race tracks). The blind turn wasn't scary at all, but T2...here comes looking through the turn part. The meeting in the afternoon and the advice to relax and keep comfortable pace was helpful. All of the sudden things started falling into place.

It was great seeing familiar and new faces. It really felt like a family event. Big difference with something huge and formal like Fontana.

Anyone know the story of the three bike crash. Those guys flew by me before the sweeper then when I come around turn 1 I see a red flag. As I come into turn 3 I see bikes down and a line of bikes on the track.

Also, what were the primary reasons given or observed for the majority of the get offs?

The crash you were speaking of only had 2, not 3 bikes involved. One guy crashed in front of another that was almost able to miss him. Both were able to walk afterwards.

Most of the crashes were from people riding over their heads I believe. I didn't see but 1, so I can't really give a definate answer.

It was good to see you having a good time at the track Jaime! :thumbup

Glad you had a good time. Thats what we're about....keeping it like family. Just a little fyi we didn't cancel the C group(Beginner) It was 5pm and we had to close the track. It stays light out l8r now due to daylight savings time :laughing
C and A groups were great .......no incidents and after our talk with the B group they calmed down.
All in all the day was good .......weather was great and no serious injuries.
Thanks once again to everyone for coming out and supporting us.......I know I say that alot but thats what matters is you people who come out to our events.
You guys/gals are awesome.......see ya in May :thumbup

i saw most of the crashes of the day but dont feel at liberty to give details of other's crashes, just because i feel they can explain it if they want. like speed said the crash was two bikes, i was the third bike pulled over because i was first on the scene.

Thanks so much guys! Jerry, Tyler, Mike: Thanks for your continued input into improving my riding. It was fun following Jerry around and having him critique me afterwards. I feel like I have gotten faster around that track. Now to work on that "smoothness" issue - no more rear tire slides! I look forward to the next time.
As for the guys from TI2TT: thanks for hosting such an awsome event again. I will be there for future trackdays.

Hope all the guys and gals that took an early leave get healed up and back out there. :thumbup
