Default Miller Motorsports Park trackday on Labor Day with Apex!!

Apex Trackdays is hosting a trackday on Labor Day Sep. 4, 2006 at Miller Motorsports Park & have offered Sportbikeswest.com a special deal!!

The price is set at $235.00ea but if we get at least 5 people to sign up it'll only cost us $200.00ea!! This is for the "FULL" Layout... 4.5mi!! :woot

I'm working on all the details for the trip and will post up more shortly. Looks like we can either camp there or stay at a hotel 20min away. They don't provide food or drinks, but there is a consession stand there or we can just fire up our own BBQ......... do I hear a call for some Big Mike Burgers?!! :happyb

The drive from Riverside looks like it'll take about 10 hrs, so not too bad really considering I just went to Michigan and drove for over 30hrs each way lol!

Some of the AMA guys have said Miller is the best track in America....... let's go find out!!! Caravan time!!!!!!!!! :wave

Here's the details......

Quote:
Trackday at Miller Motorsports Park, Full Track, Labor Day (9/4) - just $200.00, including lunch!

Hotel - Comfort Inn at the Airport (about 25 minutes from the track, and a very nice place with pool, wireless internet, free breakfast, etc.) $69.00 per night for either single or double occupancy. Rooms are either two queens or king with sofa bed. There are cheaper hotels around there, but they are pretty dumpy.

Trackday has to be booked through me, as Apex wants one payment for entire group. If you've already signed up (as I did), just let me know and I'll get you the discount. I just need to know whether you want to be in the A group or B group so I can tell them.

I need to book the trackday by Tuesday, July 18, so let me know if you're thinking of going as soon as possible. That way we are sure to get you a spot.

For hotel, call Dub at the Comfort Inn at 801-746-5171, and tell him you are with the bwhip group. I told him most would need it for Sunday night 9/3, but that some might want to stay Monday night too, so the rate is good for both nights.

We can get together on Sunday afternoon/evening when everyone gets into town for a little pre-trackday dinner and fun (like Phobe karaoke).

If you've been considering checking out Miller Motorsports Park, this should be a fantastic opportunity. Average high temp for 9/4 is 81 degrees. Hope to see you there!
You must register a free acct with Apex....... don't pay through it, just register then let me know you have completed it.

I already registered my new acct & it was quick & painless. :thumbup

I'm definitely leaning towards YES. Let me figure out some finances first before I commit though. I'm selling one of my cars and if it sells soon (hopefully!) then DEFINITELY yes... I can probably swing it without the car selling though.

Awesome! I'm working on the trailer situation, looks like we should be able to get at least 8 people up there in just two vehicles. :happyb

So I wonder what configuration makes up the "full" 4.5 miles. The website says the outer course is 3-something miles.

Looks fun! Faster than Big Willow? They sure talk it up like it is!!

"In this 4.5 mile configuration, speeds will be extremely high both at the end of the long main straight and through the daunting sequence of turns that comprise the first elements of the East side of the course, where cornering speeds will approach 150 mph. "
