iTrader: (0) Rep Power: 2 (10) | Ran 1:38:xx all day. Feeling good, except for when I got lazy and didn't check my tire pressures ... almost lost it out of the bowl ... luck was on my side though. How good are :38's? I know I was passing most of the people in the intermediate, I know its just a track day, but I got the feeling I was faster than most of my peer group. Of course the JT video guy made me even faster. Getting video of yourself is a huge help ... |

iTrader: (0) Rep Power: 2 (10) | Intermediate. http://www.youtube.com/v/z_ETv1QNZLM I got a session taped, cool to see my bad habits and such. After the filmed session I was able to pull another 2 seconds or so off my times. |

iTrader: (0) Rep Power: 2 (10) | lol. It should be. Its damn 6 weeks long, doing nothing important in the desert, only to repeat the same training 2 months from now in a 2 week course. Neither cancels the other out either ... Military efficiency is an oxymoron. |

You look really good when you are hanging off the bike. You got good speed through the corners, but you can gain a few more seconds easy by focusing on your lines. If you note in your video, your lines were off. For example, in turn one, you were in too far on the left (you want to be coming ifrom the left, like you did, but then coming further right on the apex near the right tiger's teeth), which set you up to far in to the right for turn two, which puts you in a wrong line coming out of turn 2 heading to turn 3. Also, heading to the tiger's teeth on the back straight, you are too far on the right, if you approach from the left, you do one quick kink to the right, then its straight through. JT (the video cameraman) was on the right line, and you can see where he's at for reference. Focus on just those two areas alone and you can gain another couple of seconds easy. That video is a great tool. Focus on where the cameraman's lines are, and you'll be faster with no effort whatsoever. I won't be at Buttonwillow on Oct 1, but I'll be at Willow Springs on Sep. 24th, then at Pahrump on Oct 6 and 7th.. Then back at Streets of Willow on Oct. 26th, then back to Pahrump on Nov 8th and 9th with STAR school... If you are heading to any other trackdays, hit me up!
