Default BUTTONWILLOW!!! February 5th-6th!!

As most of you already know, Buttonwillow is an awesome technical track!! What better way to start of the year than with Pahrump on the 29th-30th of January, then BW on the following week- 5th & 6th of February!!!

This event is hosted by The Track Club (formerly Club Desmo), which is a great group of people!!!

Check out more info: www.clubdesmo.com

Track info: www.buttonwillowraceway.com The riders normally vote on whether to run track configuration #1 or #13, both close to 3 miles per lap!!

Sign up soon, this event is almost sold out!

If you need more info(bike setup-total costs-tires-directions-etc): PM me or speedextreme16, or email Club Desmo

No one said having a good time is free!!! But you are correct, the price is on the high side. The organization is great: Free food, excellent instructors (not some backwoods egotistical racer- Brian Catterson is an instructor with this club) for those of us needing a pointer, free give-a-ways, braking & apex cones for every corner (as every good group should), etc. So is it pricey? Yea it is, but well worth the $$.

As for egotistical... didn't Brian Catterson just flip-off every Motorcyclist reader last issue? :lmao What a hoot!

The Ducati club is just too expensive for normal people... unless they will be serving champagne and caviar for lunch :laughing

Default Man,some you guys got it all wrong! ! ! ! please read this.

As a "spokesman" for Club Desmo, I'd like to clarify something here!

Our pricing:
Weekend events are $175.oo/day or both days are $300.oo
Weekday dates are $135.oo/first day, $250.oo/two days, $300.oo/three weekdays in a row.(*except-Memorial-Labor-Columbus Day add $25.oo)

Ducati vs all the others:
We started off as Club Desmo promoting track days for our Club members, well everybody had a "poor" buddy that didn't have a Ducati and "Could he please join us. he's my ride to the track?" After all these years we have had the stigma of "Club Desmo! yeah, I've heard of you guys . . . but I never went to your track days because i don't own a Ducati! " :tantrum

You have never had to own one to ride with us! So after all these years of hearing that, we have been rebranding our track events!

We are now officially called TheTrackClub.com So we are all bikes and brands (we always were!) Club Desmo is still around and will be co-promoting all the track days, of which we have many (25 track dates @ Buttonwillow , so far!) See below:

So for those that think we are "Snobs, drink champagne (well we do - do that, and eat caviar (hate it!)" you are very wrong. We are all motorheads, that happen to own a Ducati (some own more than one) and many own other brands as well.

So for those of that arn't caught up into a "sterotype" you need to realize that TheTrackClub.com (formerly Club Desmo) has sponsored over 250 track days, and has a really good event, we are not for everybody, but those that do attend our events continue to give us their business and since we have "SOLD OUT EVERY EVENT" last year, we must be doing someting correct!

TheTrackClub.com-Buttonwillow Track Dates for 2005

Saturday February 5th 2005
Sunday February 6th 2005

Monday April 11th 2005
Tuesday April 12th 2005

Monday May 30th (Memorial Day) 2005
Tuesday May 31st 2005
Wed June 1st 2005

Saturday August 20th 2005
Sunday August 21st 2005
Monday August 22nd 2005
Tuesday August 23rd 2005

Monday September 5th (Labor Day) 2005
Tuesday September 6th 2005

Monday September 26th 2005
Tuesday September 27th 2005

Monday October 10th (Columbus Day)2005
Tuesday October 11th 2005
Wed October 12th 2005

Monday November 14th 2005
Tuesday November 15th 2005
Wed November 16th 2005

Saturday December 3rd 2005
Sunday December 4th 2005
Monday December 5th 2005

Ps. you can purchase a Big Dog Pass?, that gives you every one of the above dates for $2,500.oo- do the math, that's a "smokin' deal!"

Any questions are welcome, and encouraged. We want to dispell any myths about our organization & attendees, we are all regular peoples, that ride all brands of bikes and happen to enjoy doing track days!

By the way my track bike? It's a ZX-10 ! :chopper

Sincerely,

Mark & Dori Duncan

Sorry for the stereotype... when I checked a couple of years ago you guys were a lot more expensive. Your current pricing seems great, thanks for clarifying. Hope to ride with you sometime soon :thumbup
