iTrader: (0) Rep Power: 7 (22) | I just thought I would put up a warning to everyone to keep an eye on all your credit card / ATM Debit card charges. A few years ago Chris & I had a waitress at a restaurant use our credit card that we had used earlier in the evening to close out a bill from someone who walked out and didn't pay. I contacted the manager when I received the statement and saw this extra charge, and the situation was recitified. Just this morning while balancing my checkbook, I noticed a charge on my Debit Card Statement from a pizza place that seems to have done the same thing, as I didn't run my card through twice at this restaurant that day. The management is now in the process of researching the charge. I also have had circumstances where the tip I left on the credit card slip was altered by the wait staff to increase their tip (which is ridiculous, as we are not cheap tippers!) Anyway, especially since we are entering the holiday season when people tend to use their charge cards more often, I thought I would put up a reminder to watch your statements, on both your credit cards and your Debit cards, to be sure that each nickle and dime on your statement is accounted for. Hang on to all your charge slips until you receive your statment(s). If you have a question about a charge, call the establishment where the charge is from, talk to a manager, and request that the charge be researched.
