WARNING To Watch Your Credit Card Charges

I just thought I would put up a warning to everyone to keep an eye on all your credit card / ATM Debit card charges. A few years ago Chris & I had a waitress at a restaurant use our credit card that we had used earlier in the evening to close out a bill from someone who walked out and didn't pay. I contacted the manager when I received the statement and saw this extra charge, and the situation was recitified. Just this morning while balancing my checkbook, I noticed a charge on my Debit Card Statement from a pizza place that seems to have done the same thing, as I didn't run my card through twice at this restaurant that day. The management is now in the process of researching the charge.
I also have had circumstances where the tip I left on the credit card slip was altered by the wait staff to increase their tip (which is ridiculous, as we are not cheap tippers!)
Anyway, especially since we are entering the holiday season when people tend to use their charge cards more often, I thought I would put up a reminder to watch your statements, on both your credit cards and your Debit cards, to be sure that each nickle and dime on your statement is accounted for. Hang on to all your charge slips until you receive your statment(s). If you have a question about a charge, call the establishment where the charge is from, talk to a manager, and request that the charge be researched.

Always good to be reminded this time of year.

Personally, I would of called the card company and rejected the charges. Let the manager answer to them.

The first time this happened I called the credit card company as well as the manager of the restaurant, and the credit card company immediately credited my account. I will see what happens with this charge after I talk to the General Manager, and if they give me any grief I will be calling my bank to get this rectified.
