jury duty

I just realized that I have jury duty on monday morning. I have always been using the student excuse to postpone, postpone, postpone, but they got me this time. I'm kinda interested, should be interesting.

Does anyone have dumb a$$ jury stories to share?

I once got dismissed from a jury pool because I recognized the defendent. At the time I worked for a police department and you could say he was a regular visitor. Darn, I so wanted to serve...not. Every time after that I've never made past sitting in the waiting room. I got to spend 4 hours reading. Good luck with your jury duty!

I just had jury duty this month too - I have a broadband card so I surfed the message boards most of the time while I was waiting - the case was about a lady who (was accused of) assulting her husband and destroying some of his property. I was not chosen because they didn't get to me. It was going to be a short case anyway.
