I thought this guy's experiment was interesting. I also enjoyed his posts... He basically ate for a dollar a day, for one whole month...

I ate 2 PB&J's for lunch and a 2 packs of $.10 ramen noodles as dinner for a month to lose weight and it worked. I used name brand bread and PB&J so I probably went over a $1/day for food but I could totally see living off of ramen noodles. Hell, lots of my Navy buddies do that on deployment. None of them donated the money to charity. Usually went to a new car, tattoo, gun, or hooker. Very interesting read though.

Bad part of ramen noodles, you have to cook them. So someone who is truely poor might not have access to a microwave a few times a day. Man, it is hard to imagine being poor.

This type of Ramen noodles?

You don't have to cook them...You could always just sprinkle some of the "flavor packet" on them and eat them uncooked.

The Ramen thing only works if you have normal blood pressure. Other wise your head will hemorrhage and explode.

MMMmmmmm PB&J.

A dollar a day, ohfa I'm trying to imagine a dollar a meal 3 times a day.

This is the show Rachel Ray needs. The gf always watches her "$40 a day" show, and I keep telling her they need to cut it down to about $10 or $15 a day tops
