Smile Who is the best internet provider?

have been with AOL for 8 year's and love it(well), them's DSL provider COVAD been taking my time after I changed home line phone number ,it's been a month and I don't got the service back yet and every time I call them they have something new to tell me and I am thinking about boycoting them but can't blame AOL .Is there any solution and is it worth to switch after 8 years with them? I pay $10 plus tax for AOL and COVAD takes $ 30 plus tax for DSL plus AT&T works with them and that's another one I could send with them .Gives $70 a month,wow.....

EarthLink is still alive and kicking. My parents use their VOIP service and it works great. Good customer service.

Dude, cable is the way to go. You can even keep AOL and use your cable company for the connection to the internet. I think they call it BYOA (bring you own access) The Speeds of DSL don't compare unless you start paying out the ass. Plus if you have TV and/or Telephone, they usually give you a discount for mulitple products.

I really don't know what AOL provides since I have never used them. Back in the day AOL was "Internet for Dummies" and it's bloated interface sucked so many resources it was not worth it to me. I have never been able to shake the anti-AOL stance I've had since then.
