So no update on this. We called the ph.# they gave us and were told that no detective had been assigned, and they were unaware of any video. April's work security called her as the police were viewing the tape. That's how we got the info.. WTF? She called the head of security and left a message, but as of yet she hasn't had a return call. Anyway April went down there to see them in person.

Well that sucks.

Your wife will most likely get more results showing up in person than over the phone. So easy to blow people off when they call but, when you are there, totally different story.

Good luck with the recovery. Let the insurance company know there was a video with the theives. More than sure they can get the cops to cooperate. Get a copy for yourselves as well. Funny how things, "dissappear".

Got a call from San Diego PD last night. The Suburban was recovered! Apparently it was used to transport illegals across the desert. It is a 4X4 ya Know. It was found in Tohono, AZ. out by Phoenix. The PD didn't have much info on damage, but gave me the #s to the local Police, and the towing Co. I called the towers last night. Not much info from them. All four tires are flat, the rims are toast (driven in the desert with flats), cracked windshield, The usual column damage, and then it was mentioned it wouldn't start, and they thought it had tranny damage. Plus the girl on the phone said the paint was scratched from the off road adventure. It was late where they were at, and it had just got to the yard.,The girl said the truck driver had just got there a few minutes before I called.
April has her hopes up that we will get it back, But the earliest somebody can go look at it is Monday. As long as it is structurally sound I'd like to have it back, most all else can be fixed.

I hope they CSI'ed the inside of that truck so that you'll have chance to bust the guys that took it so they can be leaned on to roll up the smugglers.

Well at least they found it. Depending on damage though I am not sure I would want it back. Once a truck like that gets trashed who knows what your really getting back somethings just don't go back to origional condition.

Im sorry to hear that man...it doesnt sound like it faired very well during the ordeal either.

WOW, they recoverd it? Good and bad from that. Thought about your story the other night cause on the news there was a story about big SUV's getting lifted out of parking structures. This makes sense being they were in the SD area, the transporting of illegals that is.

Hope it turns out okay.
