The weather is half of my worries. Little brats shooting BB guns and their arrogant father is what I'm worried about.I have some "nice" neighbors in my upscale neigborhood.

Here the American "concept" of that green ute (see the first page): GMC Denali XT
Chicago '08 Preview: GMC Denali XT: Four-door, flex-fuel, hybrid Ute! - Autoblog
FYI it a flex hybrid. No modern concept vehicle is respectable without a bold environmental statement.

Obviously the Australian original wasn't "urban", "rugged", or "bold" enough for Americans. Hopefully (and the rumors are) that GMC will remain a concept. It measures 205" though with 4.5' bed (just like crew cab Frontier), so it will fit in my garage.

Maybe I just gotta buy a Frontier. If only it had Pathfinder's interior like the Euro vesrion (Navara). Maybe they're easily swappable. If only I kn ew for sure.

Guys, you're missing the point... The maximum truck length that fits in my garage is 205".

Otherwise Titan is the best looking truck today. But it's:
a) too big and heavy which translates into fuel economy
b) not available with manual transmission

Update after Chicago's show:

H3T is 210" long: not good.

GMC Denali XT is not considered for production.
Production Pontiac ute (hopefully just rebadged Holden without any "bold" styling) will be unveiled at NY Auto Show next month.

Meanwhile there are two other options:
Kinda stale Ford Transit Connect (2003 model in Europe):

And Suzuki Equator (rebadged Frontier) which I don't like from the front compared to Frontier, but overall clean and good-looking. The grill can be changed anyway. The main thing I like about it is minimally acceptable interior (Frontier's is not). So most likely I'll go with that (unless Pontiac ute is really something).
