Hey Bad-mofo yes you can still buy a lower is 100% legal well some of them. no bushmaster or armalite and some more. the clip can't come out has to be fix with a bullet button or prince 50. barrel 16 inches long from the face of the bolt to the end of the barrel or permantly installed muzzle.
I have a couple of guns plus right now building a AR15. and for rifle the Barrett well I just shot one 2 weeks ago and I wish I had the money for one plus for the ammo at more than $10.00 a shot it's expensive as hell.

So recommend me a nice reasonably priced yet well-made and precise .22 pistol.
I have a Ruger Mark II, .22 cal pistol which the kids use and the wife could use if she were into guns. Very inexpensive. I think they are somewhere in the range of $300-$400. I think they even have the Mark III out now, which is a newer version of the pistol I have. Very good pistol to use if you want to get your wife involved, and it's a hell of a fun gun to shoot too.

Visited Euro Arms in Alhambra today and learned something new. Tell me what you think:

1. GSG-5: exact replica of HK MP5 100% legal in Cali minus the evil "high-capacity" magazine (which is no issue for me). And why you ask it's legal in our socialist state? because it's a .22 plinker.

Modded

GSG-5P (pistol)

Pros:
- a .22 can pass as a present for the wife
- can be operated in a 25-yard indoor range
- $500

Cons:
- it's still a plinker

2. FN PS90 - absolutely out of this world futuristic design - bullpups seem so outdated in 21st Century.

Pros:
- ultimate poser's toy
- the real thing
- fully reversible Cali compliance kit (when I move to a free state of course)

Cons:
- $1800
- proprietary pricey ammo: 5.7x28mm
- considering the novelty factor certain accessories and spare parts may be hard to get.

Well, unless you like plinking yeah the GSG-5 will do it, and yes the FN PS90
looks futuristic but hey the recoil from the 5.7x28 it's like there is none.
