Default HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR Everyone!!! :woot :party :mmmbeer :cheers :patriotflag :50 :sleepbed :dance :sbike

The new year will bring many awesome oportunities for us as sportbike enthusiasts. Looking back, what were your favorite things, and what were the things you wish you could change about 2004?

-Things I liked: It was awesome to live one more year in a free Country thanks to all of our brave military personell. I got to watch my kids grow up quite a bit thanks to my job not requiring me to work as much overtime. The weather was great all year long. Got a new racebike thanks to racerxlilbro, and took it to an awesome track in Michigan for 3 sweet day of riding with friends from Fireblades.org. Got quite a bit of track time in on various tracks. Got my racebike painted by GSXR-Freak, and had help from Vtec44 fiixing it up with all kinds of stickers so I could start racing with WSMC. Went through race school, and didn't crash...got my race license, and competed in my first road race against some of my friends....4th place! :woot Got hooked up with Takeit2thetrack.net as a control rider/instructor. Got to watch as good friends accomplished some of their goals....Shaggy started Racing and got a 3rd place his first time out, Tyler got his instructor license so he can teach people to fly (In a plane, lol), Adospeed got a great job with Goodridge, GSXR600chick got her real estate license so she can sell us all overpriced homes, P-bike Paul got 1st place in the Cag class in P-bike racing locally, and Tylenol graduated college & got a good job right off the bat!!! l. Oh yeah, Shamus kicked me off of SCS, and this site was born soon after :woot. Makiing new friends. Watching so many people get a lot better with their riding skills.

Things I'd change, or didn't like: So many of our soldiers died...I'd like to change that most. We lost a lot of people due to tragities throughout the year. The huricanes in the Florida region. Our own people starving amongst us. The tsunami that has taken over 150,000 lives. My recent accident where two of my bones were broken, and Kent took so many pics...even of me naked, lmao The crappy contract my friends got that work for the grocery stores. Losing my Aprilia. Wasting so much money and not knowing where the heck it went :pat . Losing two good friends at work. Losing Min.

WOW! what a year we had in 2004!!!

Let's bring in the new year with cheer, family, friends, and enthusiasm!!!

My year was strange. I won't get as specific as you, Mike...but it was good and bad all mixed up, and so many things good coming from the bad. I knew something good had to come from it, since nothing could be done to change it, and choosing to be miserable about it is never a pleasant option. I also believed that all I had to do was be patient, just keep going on trying to do the best thing(s) I could do, and watch it happen. It did. Many times over. I'm not 100% sure that if the power was given to me, that I would change anything, though it would be hard not to change a few things.

I've ridden for most of my life, including about 6 total years of my adult life that I had nothing BUT a bike. But this year I experienced something that made me desire to get into actually LEARNING what the hell I was doing, and improving, which also included sport-riding and racing. And now more than ever before, motorcycling, while always having been something I enjoyed, has become something I can't imagine ever not being a part of in one way or another, and even consider it a passion.

This online community of strange personalities, with nothing attached to them at first, save for a crazy picture and signature line, has produced some of the best friends I've had in a long time. And I am glad to be a part of watching people learn and grow, even though I never would have thought that something like that could happen from a silly internet message board.

I have seen tragedy and celebration here...many good times and bad. People I will never see again, friends who I will have many more good times to share with over the years, and triumphs I will get to experience along with those friends and family. And all based on a simple common interest by an otherwise large segment of completely different personalities and cultures. Actually, this crazy little community is just like the regular "world" out there...but somehow I feel like we are the blessed ones that get to reach more people than we would just being out "there" in the world.

I look forward to whatever 2005 brings...bad or good, and I feel blessed to be a part of it.

Or maybe I just think too much :funflip

Mark, I bet you could find some cool things that happened even in the last half of '04. I know it's been awesome having you help guide our racing team, and all the good things you've done for this site :thumbup :thumbup .

I agree about '05...... :welcome ..it's going to be great! :party

Working with the site has been good. And made some new friends. Just to many medical, financial, and career problems snowballed me.
