Default water pump help!!!!

I could use some help here. I have an 02 r6. I noticed today that I have a leak coming from the small elbow shaped joint located on the water pump cover. (not the big 1 piece elbow connected to full sized radiator hose but rather the smaller one above it...looks like a return line back to the top of the engine or radiator.).
I double checked to make sure it wasnt the hose fitting that connects to the joint...its actually coolant coming from where that joint meets the water pump cover. So my question is....do i just need to replace the cover, or is this an indication that my water pump is shot? Aside from the small seepage there, the bike is running normally, and engine temperature seems to be much the same as usual (bike has always ran a little warm). Any help would be much appreciated! This is my only form of transportation so i need to fix this asap. Thanks.

I would double check the hose again, but if it is the little elbow, it is part of the cover. Which means that the cover will need to be replaced. Or could it be the o-ring on the supply line leaking and dripping onto the elbow.
